The basics

What is chiropractic?

Chiropractic is a health care profession focused on the musculoskeletal system and the nervous system, and on how problems there affect your general health.

Your doctor looks for areas of the spine that aren’t moving or lining up as they should — chiropractors call these subluxations — and uses hands-on adjustments to help correct them. It’s drug-free, non-invasive care.

Chiropractic is most often used for back pain, neck pain, joint pain and headaches. At Erickson Chiropractic and Wellness, it’s also part of a bigger picture: helping you stay well through nutrition, exercise and proper rest.

Common reasons patients come in

  • Low back pain
  • Neck pain & stiffness
  • Sciatica
  • Headaches
  • Joint pain
  • Sports & activity injuries
  • Pregnancy-related back discomfort

What we offer

Care for the whole family

Chiropractic adjustments

The heart of what we do. After a thorough look at your spine and how you move, your doctor uses precise, hands-on adjustments to help restore motion and alignment.

Every adjustment is tailored to the patient on the table — a teenager after a sports injury, an expecting mom or a grandparent all get care that fits them.

Back pain, neck pain & sciatica

Whether it’s a low back that won’t let up, a stiff neck from long days at a desk or pain running down your leg, we look for what’s behind it and build a plan to help you feel better — without relying on medication.

Sports injuries

Sprains, strains, sore joints and overuse injuries from running, ball sports, the gym or the golf course. We’ll find what’s behind your pain and help you heal — then help you stay active for the long run.

Dr. Jay knows how it feels: a soccer injury as a kid is what first brought him to chiropractic.

Prenatal chiropractic

Pregnancy changes your posture, your balance and the way you carry weight. Dr. Brandi has a particular focus on caring for expecting mothers, with care adapted to each stage of pregnancy.

Infant & pediatric chiropractic

Kids climb, fall, play sports and carry heavy backpacks. Dr. Brandi also focuses on infants and children, with care adapted to each child’s age and size.

Nutrition & supplements

Dr. Jay has continuing education in nutrition and supplementation, and nutrition is a big part of how we help patients stay well.

We carry supplements in the office. Ask Dr. Jay or Dr. Brandi which ones make sense for you — and why.

Wellness & maintenance care

Our goal is to educate patients about maintaining wellness and prevention with nutrition, supplementation, exercise, proper rest and wellness chiropractic visits — so your nervous system keeps working at its best.

Many of our patients keep coming in long after the pain is gone. Some families have been with us for nearly 20 years.
